A healthy way to start the day, this wheat berry breakfast bowl is hardy, low in fat, full of nutrients and flavor. You can start your day guilt free by choosing the right breakfast!

INGREDIENTS:
½ cup wheat berries
¾ cup water
½ an apple, peeled and diced
1 tbls butter
1 tbls brown sugar
½ tsp cinnamon 
Nuts and dried fruit 

DIRECTIONS:
In a small saucepan combine water and wheat berries, Bring this to a boil then simmer on low for about an hour or until chewy. Once wheat berries are al dente, strain any extra liquid. In a medium pan melt the butter. Once the butter has melted add the apples, cinnamon and brown sugar. Cook until the apples are almost soft. Add the wheat berries and the nuts and fruit. Serve with yogurt.
