A cozy way to start the day. We have taken a fonio spin on porridge: this gluten free breakfast is rich in nutrients and creamy in texture. Simply put this breakfast tastes like home.

INGREDIENTS:
1 cup Shiptetaukin Fonio for Hot Cereal
1 cup of your favorite kind of apples, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons honey
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 tablespoon butter or coconut oil
water

INSTRUCTIONS:
Over medium-low heat, melt butter in a medium saucepan. Add sliced apples, honey, and cinnamon while adding just enough water in the bottom of the saucepan so the apples and honey do not burn. Cook over medium-low heat. Add water as needed while the apples cook down. Adding too much can make it soupy.
Cook apples until tender, about 8 minutes. Once apples are tender, stir in Shipetaukin Fonio for Hot Cereal with an additional 2 cups of milk or water. Cover and simmer for an additional 5 minutes or until desired consistency.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
